Pets are our lives! Scott has been working with animals his entire life. He has always had dogs, cats, and the occasional chicken and cannot imagine his life without them. Scott has experience with all sizes, ages, and temperaments of animals. He and his wife Liz currently live with their beautiful American Bulldog mix, Zoey, and a "foster fail" cat named Rico (and possibly is in charge of everything). They also are rarely without at least one foster dog in their home. Scott & Liz both have a great deal of experience with seniors, medical needs, and even behavior dogs. Most of the foster dogs that walk through their doors come from the euthanasia lists at local shelters and are desperately in need of medical care and the stability that a home with love can provide. They have fostered all types of dogs from chihuahuas that took nearly 2 months before anyone could touch him, to a Great Pyrenees with osteosarcoma.
Scott is a retired high school teacher and family man. He and his wife raised 3 boys and recently became grandparents! Scott would love nothing more than the opportunity to care for your pets. He has completely enjoyed his retirement from teaching as he now gets to spend his days loving, playing with, walking, and giving plenty of belly rubs to the pets her cares for. Scott believes that allowing pets to stay in their own home where they are comfortable is much less traumatic for them than going to a new place at the same time they are separated from their humans. He visits as many times per day as you want and takes the time to pet them and talk to them like they are his own. You can rest easy knowing your animals are in good hands in a place they are safe and comfortable.
Loving Hands Pet Care is a proud member of Pet Sitters International and you can trust that we are bonded and insured for you and your pet's safety.
Rico was a foster cat that was only supposed to stay for 2 months. That was 3 years ago! It became clear that we had always needed a cat to be silly and cute, while he secretly plots to take over the world.
Zoey just celebrated her 7th birthday, but she hasn't slowed down yet! This girl loves nothing more than to run zoomies in the yard and take over ALL the bed at night.
It has been almost 2 years since we lost our beloved Lulu to glioblastoma. Our sweet, silly, oversized lap dog and queen of the cuddles was truly the light of our lives. Many of the dogs we foster are hospice and it is in her honor, that we give each all the love they have deserved for so long.
Animals are our passion and are part of every piece of our lives. We love every rescue dog we help, and we love every pet we are blessed to pet sit. We take the responsibility of caring for your pets the way we would want someone to care for ours very seriously. It is an honor to be selected as your pet sitter.
